One of Terry’s favorite things is meeting her neighbors and helping them plan for the future.  Whether newlyweds combining their households or a ninety-eight-year-old grandmother needing her first will, Terry talks each of them through the options that exist for distribution and protection of their assets.  Over the years, Terry has learned there are various goals associated with each client’s wishes in the distribution and protection of their assets.  Whether drafting simple wills, trusts for minors, or Medicare trusts, Terry makes sure her clients leave with an estate plan that is clear, concise and manageable.

While wills and trusts are part of the estate planning process, powers of attorneys and advance medical directives are usually needed to ensure clients are cared for, wishes are followed, and their finances are managed in the event of incapacity.  A proper estate plan helps plan for end-of-life care, retirement and in situations where a person is incapacitated.

Terry has served as bond counsel for insurance companies and in doing so assisted administrators, executers, and conservators in meeting their fiduciary duties.  When a loved one dies, it can be overwhelming.  Terry can assist in preparing the list of heirs, inventory, and accountings required as part of the probate process.
