Terry Lynn’s insurance defense career started while a law clerk at a boutique firm in Santa Monica, California. This firm handled a large number of complex product liability cases for Toyota, Subaru, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and Makita, giving Terry hands on experience in managing complex litigation involving catastrophic injuries.
In 1988, Terry enhanced her insurance defense practice with a move to a firm in Encino, California. In addition to shifting her focus to equipment and property claims, Terry developed a niche in obtaining dismissals of cases filed against property owners arising out of third-party criminal activity. Terry Lynn’s clients included: Church Mutual Insurance Company, Republic Insurance Company, Crusader Insurance Company, Wanamaker Rents, Gold’s Gym, Budget, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Kaiser, and Allstate.
After moving to Virginia, Ms. Lynn furthered her practice in the field of insurance defense by joining the Charlottesville office of one of the largest firms in Virginia. While at this firm Terry had the opportunity to work with Nations Bank, AT&T, Kirtley Watterson Realtors, Kroger, Food Lion, Wintergreen, Western Surety, The City of Charlottesville, The Montgomery County School Board, and Blue Cross.
In 1998, Ms. Lynn opened her own practice in Earlysville, Virginia, with the goal of providing personalized attention to her clients. Since opening her firm, Terry has handled numerous complex cases for her clients often involving catastrophic or fatal injuries. Her clients have included: Penn Millers Insurance Company, Penn National Insurance Company, Kroger, Food Lion, Friendly’s, Cincinnati Insurance Companies, Culpeper’s Farmers Cooperative, Key’s Insurance, Selective, and Powers Business Machines, Inc.
